Chickadee was surrendered into our care by her former owner. She had been living in a home with over 20 other dogs, and their care had become more than what the owner was able to manage. Shortly after entering our care, we realized she was pregnant. She gave birth to 4 puppies in her foster home and is now ready for her fresh start. Chickadee is a sweet, mellow girl who loves to feel safe and cozy. She is slow to warm up to new friends as she is still learning who to trust, but is eager to connect. This gentle girl is working on perfecting her household basics and is still getting used to walking on a leash. She settles in with no issues and sleeps peacefully through the night. This calm girl enjoys a quiet life, and while she gets along well with all dogs, she prefers the company of pups with similar temperaments to her own. Chickadee would do best with an adopter willing to go at her pace as she continues to open up to the world around her. She will thrive in a patient and loving home where she will get continued support and guidance as her confidence grows.
