This 1-year-old, 45-lb Doberman is a friendly, silly pup. Dionne and her siblings, Cher and Tai, were found as strays on the streets of Bakersfield, CA. They were covered in Demodex mange, a debilitating skin infection, and extremely malnourished. When they arrived at the shelter, they were scheduled to be euthanized. We got to them just before their deadline. When we got them back to our adoption center, we realized that they knew a handful of basic commands. It became clear that these girls had lived in someone’s home, but neglect and abandonment had left them in heartbreaking condition. Thankfully, they are now safely in our care and getting the help they need, and Dionne is ready to find a loving home. This sweet girl is a social butterfly who wants to be friends with everyone she meets, including other dogs. She is a ball of youthful energy who loves to play and explore the world around her. She is working on perfecting her household basics, including potty-training and her leash manners. She will thrive with experienced adopters who will provide the structure and consistency she needs to thrive as she grows up.
