This 8-year-old, 10-lb Terrier mix is a calm, mellow senior. We rescued Gerald from a local LA shelter, where he was scheduled for euthanasia because the shelter lacked the necessary resources to address his medical needs. We are still learning about the details of Gerald's health, but after he came into our care, a heart murmur was detected. He will soon undergo some additional tests, which will provide us with more information about his medical needs moving forward. This sweet boy has been through so much, and he just wants to be in a home where he is safe and loved. He prefers to be in the company of his people and enjoys taking slow-paced strolls through the neighborhood, sniffing everything he can along the way. He is fully potty-trained, walks well on a leash at a slower pace, and is overall an easy-going guy. He could do well in a home with another calm dog and would love gentle, patient adopters who will give him the care and affection he deserves in his golden years.
