This 2-year-old, 66-lb mixed-breed pup is both charming and handsome. We rescued Junior from an overcrowded shelter, and shortly after he arrived at our adoption center, we learned he had a heart condition. Junior has spent a year in our care recovering after a successful surgery to repair his heart defect. He was recently declared completely healthy, with no need for ongoing medication. He has been cleared to live a completely normal, active life!
This happy-go-lucky guy enjoys cuddling and soaking up attention from everyone he meets. He’s a social butterfly who is eager to make new friends, both human and canine, and will break out into full-body wiggles when he gets excited. Junior gets along well with large dogs, and he has even made friends with a few of our smaller pups! He loves spending time outside playing, chasing toys, and getting his energy out with a good game of fetch. This goofy boy has plenty of energy for play, but he also loves his cozy couch time.
This good boy is fully potty-trained and knows all his basics after completing a month-long training program. He is working diligently on his leash manners and will thrive with a loving adopter who has experience handling large-breed dogs. He will do best in a home where he will continue to receive structure and guidance and would thrive as the only dog in the home!
