This 1-year-old, 9-lb Chihuahua mix is a brave little guy who is full of personality! Nook was rescued from an overcrowded shelter after being found as a stray in November 2025 and has since blossomed in his foster home. He can be shy when meeting new people, but his confidence has grown so much, and once he’s comfortable, he becomes a total love bug. He adores giving kisses, asking for belly rubs, and will even boop you with his nose or tap you with his paw when he wants more. Nook enjoys playtime and gets excited for walks, but he also knows how to settle down and relax. He’s especially happy being close to his humans, whether that’s cuddling on the couch or being carried along for the ride. He walks great on leash and has excellent manners! Nook is fully potty trained and crate trained, and he does well with other dogs and even cats. He’s also very treat-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He will thrive in a home that continues to build his courage while giving him all the attention he now knows he deserves.
