Meet Sally!

Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 2 years old
Gender: Female
Weight: 41 lbs

This 2-year-old, 41-lb mixed-breed gal is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Sally arrived at the shelter as a stray, paralyzed with fear and extremely pregnant. One week later, she gave birth to six puppies. She came into our care with her newborn puppies, but sadly, none of them survived past infancy. Sally has been through so much; now she needs an adopter who will meet her where she is. Sally is a slow burn who loves pets and belly rubs from her trusted people. This gentle girl is working on building her confidence and becomes a snuggle bug once she’s built trust. She gets along well with other dogs and has even given subtle hints that she could be playful when the mood strikes. She is a couch potato who loves to lounge and especially enjoys a quiet, relaxing morning. Sally is fully potty-trained and working on her leash manners as she adjusts to new surroundings and continues to build her confidence. She is hesitant in new environments and will need understanding, patient adopters who understand that healing takes time and will allow her to open up at her own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal pup who, with time, gives you all the love you give her and then some, Sally could be the girl for you!
