This 2-year-old, 13-lb pup is a gentle sweetheart. When we rescued Scallop from a local shelter, where she had come in with several other dogs from a possible hoarding situation. When she came into our care, we realized that she was pregnant. Unfortunately, her babies did not make it. Scallop has been through so much, and she just needs a loving home where she can feel safe. She is a sweet, gentle girl with her trusted people and is blossoming as she gets more comfortable. Scallop can be hesitant in new environments, but warms up with time and encouragement. She is an affectionate pup who wants love from her people and will sit by your side for gentle pets. This smart girl is fully potty-trained, does well in her crate, and walks well on a leash. She has done well coexisting with another laid-back dog in her foster home. She would love adopters who understand that healing takes time and will allow her to open up at her own pace.
