Stetson
Meet Stetson!
Breed: Boxer
Age: 6 years old
Gender: Male
Weight: 51 lbs
We met sweet Stetson at a crowded LA County shelter. He had been found wandering on the side of the 710 Freeway by Animal Control officers. He had a large open wound on his front leg, and his body was covered in scrapes, scars, and puncture wounds in various stages of healing. Particularly notable was a large scar across his neck, likely from a tether that was far too tight. Based on his condition, we believe this poor boy was attacked at least once, and has known little kindness in his life.
Despite this, Stetson couldn’t be more gentle or full of love. He greeted us with full body wiggles and the sweetest kisses. We brought him back to our adoption center, where is healing officially began. He received several weeks of daily wound care from our medical team. Once his wound had officially closed, he was able to transition into a foster home.
Stetson has had tremendous success in his foster home. He appears to be fully potty trained, walks nicely on leash, and loves to spend time in his crate. He has a medium energy level that allows for just enough playtime before he’s ready to settle in for snuggles on the couch. He adores is lamby toy (and even brings it to bed with him every night) and has an affinity for soccer balls!
After so much uncertainty in his life, Stetson is finally ready to be at home for good. Are you ready to give this boy all the love he deserves?
