Tamara
Meet Tamara!
Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 3 years old
Gender: Female
Weight: 60 lbs
This 3-year-old, 60-lb mixed-breed girl is a sweet, gentle pup. We rescued Tamara from an overcrowded LA County shelter, where she was hours away from being euthanized. She came into the shelter as a stray together with another dog we rescued, Tia, and was suffering from a severe Upper Respiratory Infection. Because Tia and Tamara came in together, both were scheduled to be euthanized. Thankfully, we were able to give both of these pups their second chances. When they arrived at our rescue, Tia was doing well, but Tamara required around-the-clock care from our medical team. After intensive treatment, she is feeling so much better and is ready for a loving forever home. This sweet girl has been through so much and is starting to come out of her shell in her foster home. She can be hesitant in new environments, but she is starting to learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. She loves to snuggle with her people and is a confirmed couch potato. This smart girl is fully potty-trained and is working on her leash manners as she builds confidence. She will thrive with experienced, patient adopters who understand that healing takes time. If you’re searching for a mellow, lovable couch potato, Tamara could be your girl!
