This 4-year-old, 81-lb Doberman is a friendly, lovable sweetheart. When we met Jenny, she weighed a staggering 97 pounds. She had recently been surrendered to the shelter by her former owner. She had spent her entire life as an outdoor dog, and her elbows were covered in calluses from lying on the hard ground. When we brought her to our adoption center, we learned that her thyroid was malfunctioning, which was the cause of her massive weight gain. We immediately started her on medication and a special diet to help her shed the extra pounds. Now settling into her foster home, Jenny is on her way to a happier, healthier future. This gentle snuggle bug loves belly rubs and spending time with her favorite people. In her foster home, she has done well meeting kids and even loves cats! She is fully potty-trained and walks well on a leash. She will thrive with patient, loving adopters who shower her with affection and support her on her health and wellness journey.
