Tux
Meet Tux!
Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 10 years old
Gender: Male
Weight: 77 lbs
This 10-year-old, 77-lb boy was recently picked up as a stray and brought to a crowded Southern California shelter. Unlike many strays, Tux had a microchip, but both of the phone numbers it was registered to had been disconnected. The shelter did some digging and found a name associated with the phone numbers. They reached out to the person on Facebook, but their message was read and ignored. Whoever had given up on Tux clearly didn’t want him back. When we met Tux at the shelter, we knew we had to give him a second chance. This sweet old man is the ultimate cuddle bug. His favorite place to be is lying on his back with all four limbs in the air, getting belly rubs. He is friendly with new people and coexists happily with other dogs. Tux loves to nap. If he isn’t out for a walk, eating, or getting pets, he is napping. In fact, if his humans are in a room, Tux will plop himself in the comfiest spot in that room to nap. If his humans move rooms, he will follow and plop down again for another nap. Tux is a very good boy who is fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. All he needs is someone to love him into his golden years. If you’re looking for a snuggly couch potato, Tux could be your new best friend!
