This 1-year-old, 13-lb Chihuahua mix is gentle, resilient, and slowly blossoming in our care. Gingersnap was rescued from a severe hoarding case where she received very little socialization with humans. She came to us extremely frightened and very pregnant. Within her first day with us, she gave birth safely.
Since then, she has been learning, day by day, what it means to be cherished. As she grows more confident, her sweet nature shines through, and she’s becoming at ease seeking affection and connection. She enjoys quiet environments, reassurance, and the comfort of people she trusts. Gingersnap is potty-trained and already knows her basic commands. With patience and consistency, she is making wonderful progress!
